Students interview AI personas of energy stakeholders. Mom test behavior built in.
First steps with Claude Code, switched the project to Anthropic API. Showed the tool to students again, got quite positive feedback. Problem: the mom test sometimes distorts the interaction and isn't visible to students. Should be toggleable on/off.
Supabase Edge Functions as API proxy — obvious choice to keep the API key server-side without a custom backend. Deno as runtime means: standard npm packages don't work directly, costs an afternoon. Claude Sonnet over Haiku because personas need to stay consistent over longer conversations — Haiku drifts. But: mom test behavior still lives only in the system prompt, with more than three personas it becomes unmaintainable.
